As
I said in an earlier post, I like other Leask researchers made the
assumption that all the older Leasks in the Windham area were probably siblings. This changed when I discovered Abram Leasks
wife Mary was also a Leask. Robert was
her brother. As a result I moved Laura, (who
died in 1890 in Windham) from the James/Jane family to the George/Mary family
with her siblings Robert and Mary.
I
am just going to touch on the information I have for each of the siblings. John Cardiff and Tony Gotts sites, as well as
Ancestry have quite a bit of information concerning the descendants of the different
siblings.

(all born in Sheltand)
I
recently reviewed the Register of Deaths in Burra in 1825 and came across what I
believe is another child of James and Jane.
Nelly Leisk (a child of about 5 years) in Minn died 15 Sept and was buried 17th Sept. in the churchyard of Burra.
In
Marion Goodlet’s obit it states she was the 3rd child and 2nd
daughter of James & Jane Leask. As
you can see from the above list 5 year old Nelly fits into the gap between Abram and Marion, but this leaves Samuels place in the family in doubt. He could also be a son of George & Mary
Leask, or another Leask relative.
